Arent these two just precious.  Wish I had some pictures of the other two.  We have certainly been blessed with the love of these kids.  Our tree is in the back ground.  We had a small tree this year but it was decorated with precious hands.  The kids did this and I love it.  Nicole and Sean are very much an important part of our lives and at Christmas time they really come around and make things great for us.

Here is Annabelle.  Nicole loves these animals and they seem to love her.  Annabelle is the new addition to their regiment of animals on the Scott farm.  They have five dogs, three goats , and now two miniature horses.  The first one is Libby.  As you can see in the background they have plenty of room to run and that is not even an indication of all the property they have. 

Sean and Nicole got to spend the night with us on Christmas Eve and I felt so blessed.  Don said they had been at his house last year and so he wanted them with us this year if we wanted them.  Always!!!!!

Fess Up Jeanette or Rather Was My Face Red

I am sure that none of these young folks remember reading  "Was My Face Red" way back in the old days, but I do and today I had one of those situations .

As you all may not know , I am not too much on shopping lately and order most everything online.  Well a couple of weeks ago my husband took me to one store to buy an outfit for me to wear to Nicole and Seans Christmas party.  I havent purchased anything in such a long time to wear out like that, but I found a Size 2 shirt that FITS  and Size 1 pants and they FIT and they only cost $11.00 together.  They are Vera Wang clothes and they look cute.  So without further adeu  I want to tell you I wore my new outfit today to the Christmas party and thought I was doing just fine wearing something that fit and I even combed my hair.................Will somebody please tell this old woman to .....TAKE THE DARN TAGS OFF OF NEW CLOTHES BEFORE YOU WEAR THEM OUT.........NOT AS YOU ARE TAKING THEM OFF , AFTER YOU HAVE RETURNED HOME.

I know that it is christmas and not thanksgiving but I want to tell you all and to thank the Lord for an answered prayer.  Most of you all know that I just started quilting and really Im not very good at it, but I had set out to make each one of my grandchildren a quilt this year.  In between the  four quilts I had a little set back called a heart attack.  I asked the Lord to let me live long enough to finish those quilts and give them to my grandchildren myself.  And HE DID.  I didnt wait for Christmas , I finished them and sent them to Kentucky and then gave Sean and Nicole theirs.  I am so thankful for that and I felt at peace the day we sent Caitlins and Bubbas quilt to them. 

Now , just this minute I have had another prayer answered.  Sue just called me .  She had surgery today and she called to say she , "Had No Chest Pain"  I know God heard me and he granted that peace for me that she would not have chest pain like she did last time.  She has been experiencing a great trial lately and I knew that she didnt need any extra stress on her, cause I worry her enough.  She has to tell me "how to" almost every day. 

We can just talk endlessly about everything from homemade rolls and potatoe cakes to What kind of jeans look best on our men.  And we include some laughs and some tears along the way.  But you know we have found that we are a lot alike in that we feel very strong about a situation or we dont bother with it at all. 

Bet she dont remember these things but I do and I think of her every day.............whether we talk or not cause I have snow men all over my bed and snowmen on my pillows with angels watching over them.  And I think of my other two sisters too cause Louellen gave me three little angels in a treasure box that sits on my dresser and Rosie gave me an angel in a candle ring so I am fixed up.  Tooooo many angels for anything to happen to this old lady.  They are every where.
 I think of my sisters all the time any way, they are so blessed with their family .  CW and I lost out in that catagory.  Oh we have our grand babies that love us , but you know it is pretty sad when your children dont acknowledge you in any way.   Enough of that, I am thankful for all God gave me, all he has done for me, and all that he left me.  I'm blessed to be left with a great husband and a good man at my side, and I am undeserving of that even.  CW must have the patience of a Saint to have put up with me for so many years. I tell Rosie a lot that she is so blessed although she has been very ill, her children love her and they are right there and there is a blessing in that. 

I am thankful that although we are miles and miles apart, all of us, we are close.  I am so blessed to have a phone with unlimited minutes to talk and I am so blessed that I have quiet time to find my phone when my mind has left me.  Oh yes senility has set in and it dont help any more to pinch my self to help me remember what I came in the room for..............it just dont work any more.  Messages dont get up top as often as they need to and when they do it takes a while.

Here is a picture of CW and Rowdy She is not allowed on the furniture and to run in the house ,.  As long as someone was holding her it was ok.  I just dont have the stamina to clean up after a puppy, but she had a good time i think.

The new addition to the kids regiment of animals.  Rowdy came and spent the most of the weekend at our house .  She loved it .  CW and her slept most of the weekend in the recliner.  that is his favorite place to be.
